Shipping & Returns

Transparent policies so you know exactly what to expect when you shop with us.

Shipping Policy

Standard Shipping — Contiguous US (Lower 48)

We ship standard orders to the contiguous United States via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on package weight and destination. Most in-stock items ship within 1–2 business days after your order is placed.

LTL Freight — Oversized Items

Large items such as bumpers, roof racks, awnings, and heavy accessories ship via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carrier. A flat $150 shipping fee applies to all LTL orders. Freight shipments typically arrive within 5–10 business days and may require a delivery appointment. We'll contact you once your order is ready.

An additional $100 surcharge applies to awning shipments due to their size and packaging requirements.

Order Tracking

You'll receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our Burien location. If you haven't received a tracking email within 3 business days of your order, please contact us.

Alaska, Hawaii & International

We ship to Canada with applicable GST/HST taxes applied at checkout. Duties and import fees are the customer's responsibility. For Alaska and Hawaii, please contact us for a shipping quote before ordering. We do not ship internationally beyond Canada at this time.


Returns & Exchanges

30-Day Return Policy

We accept returns on most items within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, uninstalled, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition. Items that have been installed, modified, or show signs of use are not eligible for return.

How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us at info@nomadoverlandadventures.com or call 206-774-2000 with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 1–2 business days.
  3. Ship the item back with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, your refund will be processed within 4 weeks of us receiving the return.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Installed or used parts and accessories
  • Electrical components that have been powered on or wired
  • Custom-ordered or special-order items
  • Items missing original packaging
  • Clearance or final-sale items (marked at time of purchase)

Exchanges

To exchange an item for a different size, color, or model, contact us within 30 days of delivery. We'll do our best to fulfill the exchange from available inventory. If the replacement item is higher in value, the price difference will be charged; if lower, we'll refund the difference.


Damaged or Incorrect Items

Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged, please document all damage with photos before unpacking, then contact us within 15 days of delivery. We'll file a carrier claim and ship a replacement at no charge. Do not discard the original packaging — it's required for the carrier claim process. Claims submitted after 15 days may not be eligible for replacement.

Wrong Item Received

If you receive an item that does not match your order, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll arrange a prepaid return label and ship the correct item as quickly as possible at no additional cost.


Sales Tax

Washington State sales tax of 10.2% is applied to all orders shipped to Washington addresses. Orders shipped outside of Washington are subject to the applicable tax rates of the destination state. Canadian orders are subject to GST/HST as applicable.


Warranty

Most products sold by Nomad Overland Adventures carry the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims are handled directly through the manufacturer unless otherwise noted. We're happy to help facilitate warranty claims — contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Our professional installation labor is backed by Nomad's own workmanship warranty. If an installation issue is attributable to our work, we'll make it right at no charge.
